Ishskwaday is an Ojibwe word that means "fire". It is also the name of a Christian Conference that happens every two years with the objective of raising awareness among Christians regarding Aboriginal issues. This conference also has the objective of being a venue for Aboriginal leaders to empower their own people.
For the inaugural conference, I designed posters and collateral materials using symbols of Aboriginal culture. I selected symbols that have meanings such as life, centre, morning star and river.
The design involved the creation of the logo, posters, banners, program book and other collateral material (name tags, signage, and registration forms).
